Mumm’s Sprouting Seeds grows and supplies certified organic seed for growing sprouts and microgreens. Our farm and business are located in Saskatchewan, Canada. We’ve been farming organically since the 1970s, and are passionate about growing healthy food using farming practices that promote a healthy ecosystem. We’ve modeled Mumm's Sprouting Seeds on the core principles of organic agriculture: environmental stewardship and sustainability.
Lisa Mumm
Our family has been producing seed on our farm for over 30 years. We’ve grown a diverse range of seed crops from alfalfa and red clover to arugula and quinoa. Our daughter Lisa is a fifth generation farmer; organic farming is deeply rooted in our family’s past and integral to it’s future. We’re proud of the small bit we’ve done to promote healthy, sustainable food systems. However, the future of our family’s farm and business is threatened by the risk of contamination from transgenic, or genetically engineered (GE) crops. Despite our best efforts to avoid GE contamination, it’s a serious risk that we face as farmers and seed suppliers. Please help us to protect our family farm and our commitment to providing non-GE food.
